I thought it would be neat to share with you some of the verses that I am meditating on now, and will be focusing on during the birth. (A key part of our natural approach to childbirth is relaxation and focus exercises, to keep your mind occupied on something other than the pain. What better thing to focus on than God's living truth?)
Here's a few...
Psalm 139:1-3 (NLT) O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know what I sit down or stand up. You k,now my every thought when far away. You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment you know where I am.
2 Pet 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness, through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
Is 26:3, 4 You will keep in perfect peace... him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal rock.
Jn 14:27 (NLT) I am leaving you with a gift-- peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give isn't like the peace the world gives, so don't be troubled or afraid.
