Still No notable Baby News (NBN), but we did have a nice family day yesterday, at church and then at the Texas State Fair. For those of you unaware of its delights, the Texas State Fair is all the gaudy glamour you would expect in Texas... and more. It boasts the largest amusement ride in the western hemisphere (the Ferris wheel, which mom and Esther closed the night riding), culinary delights (Mark calls it "Fair fare") such as Deep Fried Latte (showing up on a Starbucks menu near you), mammoth turkey legs (mini Miller LOVES turkey legs), and fried bologna sandwiches. Yum! Mom loved the bird show... where a hawk perches on the topic of the Texas State Ferris Wheel and descends 21 stories to catch a lure thrown into the air just above our heads.
My favorites were the butter sculptures and the enormous sand castle sculpture of the Dallas skyline. Oh... I forgot to mention the dog dances and the pig races (Mark and I's choice pig, Arnold Swartzenhogger won his heat. You would've been surprised how loud we were whooping!)Later on today (Monday afternoon) we're scheduled for a baby non-stress test, where they'll monitor mini Miller's heart beat for a half an hour, and we'll see the back-up midwife.

As you pray for us, pray for a TUESDAY DELIVERY. Our regular midwife Lindsay will be back on duty.
Thanks to all who posted comments on cloth & other diapers... and to all of you who read our musings! We really do appreciate your love and your prayers.

I pray that things go well this afternoon and mini-Miller comes tomorrow. I check every day for an update...Danielle is right, the first day you skip, we'll all think mini-Miller is here. I'm so excited for you!
