We have a few more pictures of our post fasting celebrations last week (a.k.a. cookies and noodles extravaganza). It was a good quality time with all, with a few meaningful conversations. These fasting days are the local equivalent to the Christmas season, when family and friends gather. It's kinda nice, though, since it falls over 3 days, so there's plenty of time to see both sides of the family, and do all your "Christmas parties" in one fell swoop. (Click on the picture below, and select slideshow view to see captions).
Tomorrow morning Mark and I rise bright and early for a race, the longest for both of us: he in the half marathon and me in the 10K. Thankfully the races get started at 5:30am so it won't be so hot. Abe will have a babysitter so he'll miss the fun. Maybe next year he can run with us in his buggy.
