"Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken.
My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.
O my people, trust in Him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge." Ps 62:5-8
Mark and I have been working on a bit of Scripture memory together, and my prayer life has been rejuvenated with a little devotional book, Love to Pray by Alvin Vandergriend. A couple days ago I was reading about "Prayer Triggers"-- building reminders in your every day life to go to prayer. What a simple but profound way to walk through the day in communion with the Lord.
We've been listening to a Steve Green CD, "Hide it in Your Heart", Scripture songs for Children that is not only catchy for kids but quite enjoyable for adult ears, and nourishing to the soul. (Thank you, Paul & Lyndsey, what a wonderful gift!).
And in my quiet moments nursing with Abe or preparing meals, I like to listen to an occasional program of Focus on the Family or Family Life (Chip Engram gets my ears occasionally as well). We're spoiled to have wireless in the house where we are house sitting, so I go to oneplace.com, browse the archives (accessible after you choose the radio ministry you are interested in), and choose the program.
Thank you for those of you that have been praying for peace about settling in here. Mark and I have definitely felt our anxiety levels decreasing, because of practical answers to prayer as well as God meeting us here in our need.
We've found a place to stay! We signed the 6 month contract this week, and we're so excited. It's in the neighborhood where our new majority language friends live, plus is in a fantastic location with a local market and shopping center nearby. More details coming! Thanks for praying.

Hey Rachel & Mark! Looks like the little man is growing and developing his own personality. Looks like you guys are really in a good place with the Father - deepening in Him. Hold on to that! He will ultimately have to be your Source of strength, joy, love....and we'll happily wait to hear stories about how Him in you is a picture of His glory to onlookers and a cause of Him being made known!
