Allow me to introduce our two sons-- Bob and Abe. They were running circles around me (literally) on Friday morning. Bob actually arrived to our family before Abe made his grand appearance. Bob is definitely less maintenance and although we love both of our sons, we're most ecstatic about our second addition. Bob has been waiting for the perfect day to make his debut. Mark took him to the nearby gas station to pump up his tires and he performed beautifully. He and Abe will be best friends in Malaysia, where our morning jog (with Bob, our jogging stroller) will be one of the best parts of our day. (5:30 in the morning, that is, to beat the tropical sun).
Well, we've begun our cross the world treck to our home in Asia. We left on Saturday... with Bob, Abe, mommy, daddy, and a MAX on our baggage allowance. We stopped in Denver (an intentional long layover) and had a splendid visit with the Sheehans and Uncle Peter & Aunt Amelia.
Mrs. Sheehan brought on all her charms with a gourmet meal. The perfect medicine for these weary travelers.
We've been in Spokane with the Millers for a couple days now. We're starting to catch up on our sleep (after all the craziness of packing the last couple weeks) and are enjoying the simple pleasures of tall pine trees and lots of SNOW. Abe was a star with the travels. Thanks for praying! And God was so good to us through a wonderful send off from our Dallas community. We will so miss all of you. The Lord provided everything we needed at each step, including the just in time salvation of my sister Esther who came up from Las Cruces to help get us off. Thank you, Esther. Your love is the real thing!
