Grandpa's Right Hand Man

"I remember my mother's prayers and they have always followed me; they have clung to me all my life." --Abraham Lincoln

Well, it's time to break the blog silence. Abe slept a record four hour stretch last night, so I'm feeling like a new woman! Not exactly coherent enough to hold any profound thoughts in my brain for longer than 15 seconds (making it difficult to share them with you on this forum), but definitely a step in the direction of sanity once again.

It's hard to believe our little Abe is now over a month old. He's gaining weight well (I'll have to get a photo of his cute emerging pot belly) and yesterday he started holding his head up on his own. Amazing how much joy those little steps can bring a parent!

Last week, we were blessed with a visit from Grandpa Ray and Grandma Christie Miller. They earned their keep, with Ray offering his expertise to some home improvement projects and Christie baking up some jewels in the kitchen (including Mark's favorite, classic apple pie). Of course, they did their duties with lots of Abraham lap time.

Abe already misses all his grandparents.
