Baby talk

At church this week, Bruce, one of the elders, was asking us whether we were chatting to mini-Miller. We've been asked this question occasionally, and I must confess we don't talk to the belly have as much as I imagined we would. I did write my own words to a classic Christmas lullaby ("Still, Still, Still") and we sing it to baby Miller fairly often... so he/she will know it when the times require a lullaby.

Bruce told us a story of a family they knew who plaid music on a speaker below the mom's belly to encourage the baby to move to a head down position. It worked! The little one shifted to get a better ear for the tunes.

So this brings me to my question... how many of you talked to your babies in the womb? And what did you say? Any favorite Scriptures you liked to read or favorite phrases? Do share!

Baby Miller has been doing calisthenics in my belly this last week. It's very fun to look down and be entertained by his/her little girations. :)

you know the answer to this already...but nope, we didn't talk very intentionally to Isabelle in vitro. When I was alone in the car with her I did...does that count? But I might have just talked to myself if she wasn't there :)

i was sort of surprised that we didn't talk to the belly, i mean baby, that often. sometimes at bed time, or when he was really rockin around in there we'd give him a little conversation...

I remember reading through Proverbs out loud when Javin was inside and while he was nursing.
